(a) In general The Secretary of the Interior may make grants to Indian tribes to assist such tribes in reaching and carrying out agreements with - (1) the Board of Regents for the return of Indian human remains and Indian funerary objects under section 80q-9 of this title; and (2) other Federal and non-Federal entities for additional returns of Indian human remains and Indian funerary objects. (b) Authorization of appropriations There is authorized to be appropriated $1,000,000 for fiscal year 1991 and such sums as may be necessary for succeeding fiscal years for grants under subsection (a) of this section.
